Around 1 1/2-2 weeks ago 3K published on chinese social site Weibo that there was already a working jailbreak for iOS 9.2, and that it was a matter of releasing a public tool for the jailbreak. This post was immediately removed, but the damage had been done: jailbreakers everywhere were given hope about a jailbreak.

Scouring over the internet today, I came across a couple of articles in which 3K’s post has been edited to say “However, at this moment, jailbreaking iOS 9.2 has not succeed yet”, which pretty much crushed the hopes of everyone expecting a jailbreak before 2015 fades.
